AUCTION Damascus Pimpsqueak - Finished Pics

And here she is!!

It's almost impossible to capture the grind lines in the photos but I can assure you, they are there and they are crisp I'm also touching up the pocket clip to make the overall look a little bolder. It looks nice in person but sort of blah in the photos. But anyway............I'm calling it DONE!!

Specs:

- Chad Nichols "Whoops" damascus blade, etched
- full framelock out of .160 titanium, stonewashed, anodizing in slight blue
- Chad Nichols "Whoops" full contoured damascus frame on the non lock side
- Chad Nichols "Raindrops" damascus clip, (clip is the whole knife shape in miniature)
- heatcolored hardware and built like a tank with 1/4" pivot and 3/16" stop pin
- Chad Nichols full damascus backspacer

Pimpsqueak Auction - #5 WIP Pics

I thought about the weight of the damascus and removed some material from the inside. It's still a bit heavier than a damascus frame side but not as heavy as it was before

I also ground the blade. I have to work on the clip, that's not the finish I mentioned above. I just made it blue so it would be more springy than fully hard. It's all easy going from here. More pics soon!!!

Pimpsqueak Auction - #4 WIP Pics

Next was contouring the damascus side of the frame, marking the blade, drilling the detent and grinding the lock face. The blade is marked .193, that's not the blade thickness, it's the measurement of the blade and teflon bushings. That determines the backspacer thickness and stop pin dimensions. It's all downhill tomorrow. All that's left is grinding the blade, fitting the pocket clip and the fun, final touches! ;-)

Pimpsqueak Auction - #3 WIP Pics

I made some good progress today! First off was the lathe work. Stop pin, pivot pin and thumbstuds!

Pimpsqueak Auction - #2 WIP Pics

Here's some photos of the progress. I had to transfer the stop pin hole from the hardened damascus frame to the titanium lock side. Normally all my frame sides get the holes put in at the same time but somehow this one was missed.

In the other photos I'm thinning down the damascus backspacer. It's hardened but the carbide endmill still cut it. After roughing it on the mill, I finished it to size on the grinder. The stainless damascus backspacer wouldn't hold by itself to the magnetic chuck so the other pieces are there to keep it from moving.

Pimpsqueak Auction - #1 WIP Pics

This is going to be fun for me and I've been looking forward to this for a while. The parts have been staring at me on my workbench.

This Pimpsqueak will have a Chad Nichols stainless damascus blade, frame, backspacer and pocket clip. I might go with a titanium pocket clip and damascus pivot screw surround, not sure yet........
I'm going to do most of the work on this over the weekend and will post pics as things progress. After doing this before and give it some thought.........

If someone wants to start the bidding before it's done, that's fine. What I will do is start a 24 HOUR countdown AFTER I post the FINAL pics.

Here's what I have so far, some ugly, rough Pimp parts :-)))))))
